Synonyms: Oudneya zygarrhena Maire, Henophyton deserti subsp. zygarrhenum (Maire) Greuter & Burdet
Morocco and Tunisia.
Linear length siliques, seeds surrounded by a large white wing and the habitat type of the plant clearly support the specific status of this taxon (Gómez-Campo & Martinez Labode, 1998).
In Morocco, Henophyton zygarrhenum is known only to the valley of the Moulouya. The species described (Maire, 1946) has purplish-violet petals. The photographs come from around Midelt and the plant has white petals.
