Commelina rupicola

Endemic to Morocco and Canary Islands

North of the city of Sidi-Moussa d'Aglou. The second recorder site after that of the southwest of the city of Sidi-Ifni. This is the only species ever recorded in Norht Africa of the essentially tropical genus Commelina. The plant contributes to the tropical appearance of the flore in the area (Mathez et al. 1985).
