Thymelaea hirsuta

Synonym: Passerina hirsuta L.

Thymelaea hirsuta is a circum-Mediterranean subdioecious shrub used to model the evolutionary pathway from heterodichogamy to dioecy. T. hirsuta bears hermaphrodite or monosexual (male or female) flowers from September to May: plant trimonoique (Cornara et al. 2005).
